What's the difference between a Real Memories frame and a typical retail frame shop?

1. Photo printing: We will professionally print your digital photo to fit any of our many custom mat sizes (no running around for you!).

1. Sorry, before you buy a frame, you need a photo. You'll have to go to the drugstore, or someplace else to get a standard size photo print. Or, you can order it from an online print service, wait for it to come, and then bring it to the framer's.

2. The Process: You can quickly & easily use the Real Memories exclusive "make your frame" tool to design your own custom frame and see the end result BEFORE YOU BUY IT.

2. You can spend hours sifting through a framer's racks, finally pick something out, and still be unsure of what the final product will look like until the final framed piece arrives (sometimes weeks later).

3. Personalization: A Real Memories frame is created exclusively for you, by you. You pick the print size and choose from a large selection of mats & frames. Plus, you can personalize your mat with beautiful silver or gold foil embossing.

4. Quality: Professional quality photo printing, museum quality glass in every frame, archival mats professionally cut using the gold standard in digital mat cutters, our special easy-to-use bee hive hangers and wood frames selected for their beauty, uniqueness, quality and versatility.

4. Comparable quality, no bee-hive hangers or photo printing. Museum quality glass usually costs more.

5. Cost: When you buy a frame from Real Memories, you're buying it directly from the manufacturer, saving you lots of money.

5. $$$. A frame store orders its materials in small batches - which doesn't allow them to get the best price for you. Much of their glass and moulding needs to be pre-cut, adding more money to the final bill (which can cost you up to double that of a Real Memories frame).

6. Shipping: Our goal is to build your frame and ship it out within three days. You can then choose UPS standard or expedited service.

What if my frame arrives damaged?

We want you to be happy. After all, these are your memories we're talking about. If your frame arrives damaged, we'll replace it at no cost and pay for shipping. Just follow the instructions on the back of the receipt that arrives with your frame.

Can I return it if I don't like it?

Because your frame is personalized, customized and made just for you, we cannot offer cash refunds. We will however, credit your Real Memories account for the full cost of your frame (excluding shipping) if you don't like the frame you've created. Just follow the instructions on the back of the receipt that arrives with your frame.

What if I have a problem submitting my order?

If your order has been received, we will send you an email order confirmation immediately. If you do not receive one, and need assistance, please email us at or call toll-free: 866-923-9690.

Can I save my digital photos on your site?

Yes, once you set up an account with Real Memories, your digital photos will be saved in the My Photos tool bar. However, Real Memories cannot be held responsible if those digital images are deleted from our server.

How many photos can I save?

You can save up to 50 photos in the "my photos" tool bar.

How can I be sure that my photographs print well?

Our image processor will let you know at what sizes your digital photos will print best. Our tools will also let you adjust your digital image. However, keep in mind that your photo will print to the same quality that you see on your screen.

How archival are your prints?

We employ the highest quality digital printing processes available today. Our digital print technicians are trained to make sure your digital image will will look as good as humanly possible. All images are printed out out on a brilliant white semi-matte paper. In addition, our digital printing inks are guarenteed to exceed 90 years, as tested by the Wilhelm Imaging Reasearch Labs.

Can I create a frame without having to set up an account?

Feel free to upload photos and play around with our frame tools to create a Real Memories custom frame. If you want to save your frame project or buy your frame, you will then be prompted to set up a account. After you have set up a account, you will be able to view saved frame projects, add new ones, edit previous projects, etc.

How secure is your site?

Ordering from Real Memories is safe & secure. We use the latest security technology, including data encryption, server authentication, and message integrity. We use a THAWTE SSL certificate for encryption of data transfers to guarantee security, giving you additional peace of mind.

Do you frame artwork?

Sorry, no. Just digital photos.

What is that credit/loyalty thing?

Loyalty Points. We want to make sure that you are happy. We want to see you again. And we want you to tell all your friends about us. To that end, we'll apply 10% of your purchase (excluding tax and shipping) to your next order. Our loyalty program will automatically kick in once you sign up for an account.

Can I send the same frame to 2 or more people, at different addresses?

Yes, you can even send 10 different frames to 10 different people. After you've saved your custom frame, add it to the shopping cart where you can enter multiple shipping addresses. These addresses will be saved in your account for your next order. Imagine the possibilities! Send custom framed wedding or baby photos to all your friends and family with just a few clicks.
